The Owl

The project is a request for a musician, Giuseppe Pagotto, who wished to have a versatile tool as he the lead guitar of two bands with different musical addresses. I made him an instrument of the size of a Medium Jumbo, cutaway and obviously amplified. For Giuseppe I chose a top in Italian Red Spruce, coming from a careful selection of my friend Rudolf, and for sides and back a set of Hormigo, an essence coming from Central America. This wood, as you can see, has a fantastic color and grain. But the most important aspect is that this wood has a great tap tone and good sustain. For amplification we chose the system of Juan Carlos, the CP 1 Professional. .

Top in Italian "Val di Fiemme" spruce, back and sides in Indian Rosewood, fretboard and bridge in African Ebony.

On request:

Top: Adirondak, Sitka, Sitka bearclaw, Cedro, Redwood, Sinker redwood

Back & Sides: Koa, Flamed European Maple, Ziricote, Madagascar Rosewood, Honduran Mahogany

Giovanni Pelosi: Baby Boom Baby. Guitar: "THE OWL"
